Newsletter
Kia ora koutou,
Attendance continues to be a key focus for our school. We know that regular attendance has a direct impact on learning, wellbeing, friendships, and achievement. Every day at school matters, and we appreciate the efforts our whānau make to support strong attendance habits.
Our current attendance rates for students attending 90% or more of the time show some encouraging progress across the school:
- Waihou (Room 1) – 87%
- Waiawhakauranga (Room 6) – 86%
- Tararu (Room 9) – 83%
- Moanataiari (Room 4) – 82%
- Kuranui (Room 3) – 76%
- Waiotahe (Room 5) – 75%
Congratulations to Waihou and Waiawhakauranga, who are leading the way. Every class is working hard to improve, and we encourage all of our tamariki to be at school on time every day they can. Small improvements make a big difference over the course of a term and a year.
This week, our staff continue their own learning and professional growth, with opportunities including First Aid training and collaborative professional learning. These experiences help ensure we can provide the best possible support for our students, both in their learning and wellbeing.
As reports are being finalised and moderated, we also take time to reflect on the progress our students have made so far this year. Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. Working together strengthens the connection between home and school and helps every child thrive.
We hope you enjoy this week's newsletter and the celebration of learning, achievement, and community that it contains.
Ngā mihi nui,
David
Principal
