Just a few things that I wanted to share with you before the end of term, holidays are nearly here!
It was great to have Andrea Whitehead (TCDC Coastal Restoration Coordinator) to talk to us about caring for our beaches and coastline last week. There were a few things that she shared that were hard for everyone to see, so I wanted to show you some pictures. When we were planting at Kuranui Bay with Andrea last year, some people found these larvae and showed her.
On Thursday she bought in a beetle to show us,it was the adult Ngungutawa or Sand scarab beetle. This is what the larvae we found grow into...
