Starting school

If your child is turning five, we welcome and encourage regular visits to school as this can make the transition to school life more comfortable.

Parents are very welcome to visit the new entrant classroom to see how this area of the school operates.  Arrangements can be made by emailing or phoning the office. We try our best to be as flexible as possible.  A morning session even for an hour can support a child through transition.

The school morning starts at 8:55 am and goes to 10:50.  Children then have a seated, supervised eating time followed by an interval. This is a lovely way of learning about our school and meeting and getting to know other students.

When enrolling children of any age, there is a form to fill in with relevant details such as date of birth, parent/caregiver contact details etc.

We ask that a birth certificate be presented, as well as an Immunisation Certificate. A copy of these will be made and kept on file for our records.

If children are coming to us from another school, we will request all relevant information from their previous school.

Please see our School Readiness Checklist. This is a guide to help you prepare your child for their start of school. However, we recognise that students are individuals and progress at different rates.
