Kia ora whānau,

Can you believe we are already into Week 4 of Term 1? The term is certainly flying by!

Last week, we held a wonderful Whakatau to welcome our new students and their families. A huge thank you to everyone who attended; it was fantastic to officially welcome you into our Moanataiari School whānau. We must also give a special mention to our senior students, who led the ceremony with such pride and mana—you did us all proud!

This Wednesday, 18 February, we are hosting our first ‘School Beginners’ Evening’ of the year. This is a valuable session for parents with young children starting their schooling journey soon.

  • Location: Room 4

  • Time: 5:15 p.m.

  • Note: Bookings are essential, so please contact the office to secure your spot.

We hope everyone stayed safe and dry over the weekend. Just a quick reminder regarding our morning routines: school starts promptly at 8:55 a.m. Please ensure your child arrives with enough time to hang up their bag and settle in before the bell rings, as this helps them start their learning calmly and positively.

If your child is going to be absent, please remember to notify the Moanataiari School Office before 9:15 a.m. via phone or the school app.

Have a wonderful week, everyone!

Ngā mihi nui,

Pam Kruger

Acting Principal
