Kia ora koutou,
Last week we had two of our teams reach the regional semifinals in EPro8. This was a fantastic achievement, and we would like to congratulate both teams on their hard work, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. We are very proud of the way they represented our kura.
This week we have tradespeople onsite installing new RCD outlets, acoustic panels, and LED lighting around the school. The acoustic panels will make a real difference for our tamariki by reducing noise levels in classrooms and shared spaces. This will help create calmer learning environments where students can focus more easily and hear instructions clearly. The new LED lighting will also improve visibility and create brighter, more comfortable learning spaces.
On Tuesday and Thursday several staff members will be attending the Interface Expo events in Rotorua and Hamilton. These expos give teachers opportunities to explore new ideas, resources, and technologies that can support teaching and learning in our classrooms. We look forward to bringing new learning back to our students.
A reminder that Friday is Pink Shirt Day. We encourage everyone to wear pink to support the message of kindness, inclusion, and standing together against bullying. It is always wonderful to see our school community getting behind this important kaupapa.
Please also note that there will be no school van running on Tuesday or Thursday this week.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Ngā mihi nui,
David Brock
Principal
